Note: All the plugins listed are used through wordpress
Admin Theme Preview: I got this plugin for convenience as it allows me to preview/see/edit a new theme I want to use but doesn’t affect the actual blog itself until I actually apply the changes. This is great for bloggers who want to change the look of their site but don’t want to go through with it until they are satisfied with the results for you can edit the whole theme and preview it before you actually apply it to your blog.
Commentluv: This is a way to thank commenter’s who own blog’s or site’s that have rss feeds to leave a mark on your site by having their recent post title and link to it to be posted below their comment which can help drive traffic to their site.
Flickr Photo Gallery: For people who use Flickr to upload pictures to their site this will make you happy. This will allow you to directly take pictures you already uploaded to Flickr and post it on your site. For you can click the photo/album tab on wordpress page where you write your post and it shows the pictures you uploaded and lets you post it with whatever size is available, no more copy and paste; wish I had known about this sooner.
Post Teaser: A great way to save space/loading time on your front page. You can use this to show a introduction to your post, for example the first paragraph, and leave a link below it that leads to the whole post for those who want to continue reading.
Spam Karma 2: I believe this is default for those who use wordpress but I will provide the link just in case. This plugin is supposed to prevent spammers, those who leave links to the stupidest things through comments, from leaving comments on your site. It works really well as it has caught about 3000 spams on this blog, though there are a few that get through but wordpress catches it as spam so I delete it myself.
Viper’s Video Quicktags: This will allow you to post videos/clips from sites like youtube, google video, myspace videos, and more in your posts. Great for getting animated examples or just for an interesting post.
WP-Polls: As the name implies, it’s a plugin to put polls on wordpress. Very simple to use and a great way for people to interact with your site without having to comment.
WP AJAX Edit Comments: I know I have made many mistakes, usually grammar or I wanted to add more to the comment but have already clicked the submit button, when I comment on other websites and wished I could go back in time and fix it. Well the next best thing is adding this to your WP blog/site that allows commenter’s to fix their comment after they have clicked the submit button, what a great comment saver.
Current Theme:
I am currently using the theme K2 for WP. I chose this theme mainly for the header image rotator that changes the header with each page load/refresh. I like making headers, that can take quite a while (around two hours for meticulous erasing), and this theme allows my work to be shown every time someone visits my blog.
