Gaijin Smash

Interesting name isn’t it? “A Gaijin Smash is anytime a Westerner exerts inherent dominance over the Japanese people” according to Az who is the blogger of the website Gaijin Smash. Ok…this isn’t some kind of racist thing but its a funny way to look at how foreigners in Japan gain certain “abilities” that come with being foreign like using “Gaijin Powers” to woo Japanese women or “Gaijin Perimeter” which gives gaijin space in a rather space less Japan. He even said that “Gaijin Perimeter” can save a life by making crowds move out of the way if someone has fallen and needs space lol. This site is actually about Az’s life in Japan as he teaches English to Japanese junior high kids that are grades seven to nine here in the US. I love his site ^-^, not only does it coincide with my goal of teaching English in Japan but he puts it in a whole new prospective. He gives it a hilarious twist with kancho attacks (putting your fingers up someones butt) and constant groin measurement attempts from immature little “boys” half his height. Crazy English senpai’s spouting out the funniest English swear word combos that she learned from “South Park”. A tear in his nether regions that should never happen to a man and more. This is definitely a site you want to check out, it got so much laughs out of me it was painful.

Go Bomberman Go!!!

I was at GameLife where they posted this vid on Bomberman. This was one of my favorite games back when I played it on the Super Nintendo system. So seeing Bomberman ummm “live” was pretty interesting and no only that but he’s dancing rocker style with a punk rock band accompanying him. He even got some “action” towards the middle of the vid ^-^, lucky guy lol.

Otaku Beware

I first read about otaku’s being attacked on Danny Choo’s site and have now found an article that re-confirms these “Otaku Attacks,” where otaku are being attacked, usually by knife point, have their money taken away. Now this is seriously uncool, those hardworking otaku, assuming its not mommy and daddy’s money, are having their money taken away from punks on the street. I previously read an article that Japanese punks actually did this but it usually never involved a weapon or beating someone up but more of a threat to beat them up to make people give up their money. So now this violence shows up makes me angry for its wrong in the first place for this kind of stuff happening. But otaku are now the ones wielding knives to prevent “Otaku Hunters” from taking their money and are getting caught by the police for this “protection,” I advise a taser if the public can carry it. More security for places like the infamous otaku town, Akihabara, will take effect. Just wait until I go to Japan, lets see these “Otaku Hunters” take on an American Otaku lol, I will splatter them lol. Just kidding….or not…we will see….

What is my blood’s personality?

Funny question right? Well not if you are Japanese or know about Japanese culture. In Japan, many people believe that their personality matches their blood type. So even before a person gets to know you, if they know your blood type they automatically pass judgment on you lol. I hear that some people ask for another’s blood type first even before they learn the name. There are four blood types that we currently know of including A, B, AB, and O. According to Wikipedia, blood type A has the following traits: Conservative, introverted, reserved, patient, punctual, obsessive, stubborn, too self conscious and uptight. Blood Type B are the following: Creative, passionate, animal loving, optimistic, flexible, individualistic, forgetful, changing ideas often, irresponsible, and self-centered. Type AB traits include being: Cool, controlled, logical, rational, introverted, empathic, aloof, critical, easily stressed and unforgiving. Lastly blood type O people are: Ambitious, athletic, robust and self-confident, arrogant, vain, do not think things through, insensitive and ruthless. Why do I bring this up you ask? It’s because I was watching Lucky Star Episode 9 where they were talking about it and I decided to talk about it too ^-^. Btw my blood type is A+ and the description above fits me pretty well so the Japanese method can’t be all bad, I’m saying this for blood types and personalities being linked together is not scientifically proven. Some famous people that match my blood type include Jet Li and Ayumi Hamasaki. If you want to share your blood type please do, we won’t judge you lol.

Changed Look

Ok…I changed the look of the site…mainly due to my new header which didn’t fit with my old template. A bonus though is now my pics can be fully seen and not cut off. But I don’t really like the template and this was the best one out of the lot that I liked. So I will be making my own template as soon as I can to fit my needs but for now this is it, so if you see frequent changes to the template thats me adjusting it to what I like. Tell me if you like my header, I like Shana so I just chose it for now. If you want me to make something fancier I can do it.

Bad Nova, Bad

I was browsing around the internet when this article about the English teaching school, Nova, caught my eye. I say this because I plan to teach English in Japan and Nova is one of my choices as where to go to get a job to teach. On Asashi.com there is an article about Nova’s unfair “practices” like telling students that they can choose anytime they want for class when the usual times are the most popular. This was a real downer, I just hope JET doesn’t do it as I plan to go with them as my ichiban (#1) choice.
