You get what you paid for

In an effort to save cost, Japanese fast food companies like MOS Burger, Matsuya, and Sukiya are serving smaller portion food which is cheaper than the standard size of the same foods. As a result the companies are finding that they are selling more because of the cheaper prices. Smaller proportions had another surprising result of women being the bigger consumer of smaller proportion food.

I think this is a pretty good idea and maybe if they did that in America people might eat less since they have the food in front of them and won’t get more because our minds might trick us into thinking we have enough which will also help in saving money. Hear that Mcd’s? Make your $1 menu a 50 cent menu :P .

Mothball Instant Noodles :P

Ramen Noodle Girl

According to reuters, a woman living in Japan became ill after eating Nissin Food Products Co Ltd “cup noodle.” Apparently the noodles she ate were laced with mothball chemicals. This is just more bad news for the Japanese food industry including green beans, pizza, and dumplings. Though those incidents happened to involve products made in China, this noodle incident happens to be rooted from a factory in Japan. If you’re curious as to what the chemical was, it’s called paradichlorobenzene.
