Mango’s….(drool)
How much are you willing to pay for a mango, maybe a few dollars or so? How about 200,000 yen (about 2000 USD)? Well thats what one person in Japan did, with his winning bid at a auction for two highly prized and hopefully delicious mango’s (known as “Eggs of the sun,” most likely names for the color on the outside and inside I assume) from the southern Miyazaki Prefecture known for their “perfect mango’s.”

Hachune Miku wants one as well ^^
You have your leek sir. I want my leek. You have your leek sir, as you can order it online lol ^^. This is no joke, my friend Natsu pointed this out to me on Japan’s Amazon which you can check out for yourself with the link above. Pretty crazy stuff right there, I can just head down to the local food market store and just buy one lol. I don’t need to go online to order it, even if I am a Hatsune Miku fan.

Mmmmm….Delicious
I’m not talking about “The Pope,” I’m talking about Derrick Pope who is the linebacker for the Miami Dolphins. “Don’t eat California rolls, and don’t eat shrimp tempura,” is what Pope said which explains his sickness and absence from part of the game against the Steeler’s. He was hospitalized last week Friday with a severe stomach ailment from Japanese food.

Shana’s dream come true ^^
Finally lol. The melon-pan in Japan was one of the most oishii (delicious) foods that I had eaten. The world’s largest melon pan was made in a bakery in Hokkaido and was made to 11 times the normal size of a regular melon pan (which is pretty big to begin with). The melon pan weights 1 kilogram and is 30 cm wide; the delicious pan can be purchased for 1,500 yen. If you wish, the bakery can make it into a birthday pan (bread) by writing a birthday message on the melon pan with chocolate.
I came across this video while checking out JapanSugoi, huge food for a cheap price. I really want to eat at these places the next time I go to Japan so I can spend more money on otaku stuff lol. According to JapanSugoi, the price for the foods shown in the video include:
Profile 1 - 2.5kg of Japanese Curry & Rice for 1220 Yen
Profile 2 - 2kg of Ramen for 1000 Yen
Profile 3 - 1kg of Sushi for 2400 Yen
Profile 4 - 3.5kg of Kakiage Rice for 1050 Yen
Profile 5 - 2.8kg Hamburg steak set for 1580 Yen
It has finally happened, America has once again taken the Mustard Yellow Belt from the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest. Joey Chestnut ate 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes beating the six-time consecutive champ, Takeru Kobayashi by three hot dogs. I watch the Nathan contest just to seee Kobayahi in action, this was sad news to me for I am a Kobayashi fan. I believe its great that some non-fat person would be able to do that and still keep in shape like Kobayashi. Over the past couple of years Joey has entered the contest and lost to Kobayashi but really came close to beating him, every time getting closer and closer until he finally beat Kobayashi. To be fair, Joey isn’t some fat dude and might have a build similar to Kobayashi which led to his victory. My hopes go out to Kobayashi’s victory in the 2008 contest. Maybe this girl should enter, I believe she has a good chance of taking the belt back to Japan. Info taken from Mainichi News.
