According to reuters, a woman living in Japan became ill after eating Nissin Food Products Co Ltd “cup noodle.” Apparently the noodles she ate were laced with mothball chemicals. This is just more bad news for the Japanese food industry including green beans, pizza, and dumplings. Though those incidents happened to involve products made in China, this noodle incident happens to be rooted from a factory in Japan. If you’re curious as to what the chemical was, it’s called paradichlorobenzene.

Interesting, I’ve heard stories on the news like this about China before but never about Japan. Guess I’d better be careful next time I eat instant noodles 0_o
…Although, it makes you wonder, why mothball chemicals?
