The title for the video is Deathsponge Notepants, which is a parody on Death Note for those who don’t know ^^. Spongebob being Light (Raito) and the Flying Dutchman (the green ghost) is Ryuk. This clip shows “Spongebob” deciding to be the person who restores order in the world with the “Dutchman’s” death notebook, originally found at Japanprobe. I thought it was pretty funny so I thought I would share it with you ^^. Spongebob is a popular cartoon here in the US, it centers around a “sponge” (who looks like a dish washing sponge) called Spongebob Squarepants who lives under the sea in a place called Bikini Bottom where many sea creatures live from the maniacal “Plankton” to whales named Pearl. Spongebob is a fry cook for a place called Krusty Krab, where he works with his penny-pinching boss Mr. Krabs and his disgruntled co-worker, Squidward (who looks more like an octopus in my opinion). It’s a comedy show that is a bit childish but it’s actually hilarious at times. Read on for some of the more hilarious moments.
I was wondering why you, AS, did choose to talk about cartoons in Animesugoi… But I understood immediately when watching the video.
This parody was EPIC. The words, chosen bits of the original cartoon and even the sync were perfect. The killer lines (pun intended) coupled with the jolly face of Bob made me grin as well.
Loved Spongebob Squarepants at a time (when I did not know about anime streaming and still watched much TV -for the latter I do not watch it anymore at all-), not to say I was completely addicted to its randomness. I also want to say that I am not much into American cartoons otherwise, except for the Warner ones (Animaniacs is my all-time favorite) and the animated series of super heroes, whether they be from DC or MARVEL.
My Top 3 episodes of SB-SP is: The boots one (squeak squeak), the dreams one (Spongebob invading others’ dreams) and finally the one with the rocket (clones of the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom?!).
Then too much rehash of old episodes made me grow tired of it.
My fav’ character out of the lot? Plankton. Evil, megalomaniac, persistent and super witty but also too small and too flawed. ^^;
Nothing beats anime though. ^^
LOL the parody was hilarious! The sounds and the animations are pretty synchronised haha. I don’t really watch spongebob though, but i heard from my friends that its funny as well. =D

Oh man that’s a pretty awesome parody. Still, I do enjoy watching American cartoons now and then such as Spongebob Squarepants as it gives a slight variety in the things I watch. Sure enough anime is also on top, but we can’t always just watch anime.
