Ok, so technically it wasn’t done in under two minutes but it was pretty cool to watch lol. Amazing that someone can draw like that with just a computer, although that’s how most anime’s are made today. No going back to the yesteryear of hand drawn pictures. I wish I could do either one, that would be really cool. Currently I can draw a anime character, usually a girl ;p, but I always have problems with the face lol, the way I make it always makes the character look “flat” with no life to it. I have photoshop CS2, the software used in the video is Corel Painter, so I might try making a anime character like the video. Originally found at JapanSugoi. Love that kind of videos…
Well, I also wish I could draw via computer.
For me it’s the complete inverse, I can draw faces but it’s rather the posture that is difficult to effectively doodle. But my last one (an angel girl) seems to be encouraging… It was done during class (which can be dull and boring, but good for drawing random things)
Still I feel she’ll remain an unfinished sketch.
That is sick. That guy have skills when it comes to drawing anime characters. I think the guy isn’t using a mouse but a digital sketchpad thing.
The art is cool.

Heh, that’s one of my favorite artists. I definately agree with you, he’s HAS to be using a sketchpad.
If it was indeed done with a mouse, that would be totally awesome. That said, I suppose he’s using something like wacom.

Impressive. i did try to draw with a digital sketchpad and let me tell you it wasnt easy at all. but then again it might just be that i have 0 talent for drawing.

The “digital sketchpad” you guys are talking about is called a Pen tablet, and of course all CG artists use tablets, but a even easier way of digital painting is a Wacom 21″ Cintiq 21UX touch monitor would come in handy. Allowing you to draw directly onto the screen just like a piece of paper … but the problem is, who would spend $2500 USD on a monitor? :3
Anyways nice art work n video, god knows how many times the vids been speeded up lol… also corel painter 8 is more common in anime CG than photoshop..

@D_Blade: Ya, I have lots of unfinished sketches in my old notebooks lol, I will probably never finish the drawings and end up throwing the notebooks out when fully used.
@Rin: The art is cool ^^, I especially like the first one because she’s so sexy ;p.
@zoku88: So he must be posting his pics online somewhere, I need to look for them lol.
@Lustrous Realm: I take really long to do some of my work on ps with a mouse that takes quite a while to do so it would indeed be impressive if he did do it with a mouse.
@Setsuna-san: Awww, don’t put yourself down like that. If you practice you will get better, I myself didn’t do so well on a Japanese oral recently but had a chance to redo it and I had become better with practice and got the highest grade possible on it because I practiced ^^.
@Natsu: I would see how corel is used more, considering what I can do on ps lol. Only people with lots of money or if it’s essential to their line of work will they actually but it. I wouldn’t mind getting it as a gift lol ;p.
I always love watching these.

Hmmm… his practices look very much like how I do my drawings… It seems he uses Painter instead of Photoshop though. I know Painter has the ability to record all your brush strokes, much like OpenCanvas. I wish Photoshop would do that… Oh well, I guess that just gives me a reason to learn to use Painter.
