Shana, in a cute dress, while in flame haze mode…(nosebleed), someone get me a tissue ^^.

Finally, a Shana episode where Shana is actually fighting ^^. The start of Shana had some fighting which was interesting, but nothing compared to episode 13. Then the middle of episodes 1-13 brought high school romance into it, and I do not watch Shana for the “love” lol. So with all of the action of episode 13, and a tear-jerking scene, my faith in “Shanaism” has been restored. All hail the loli flame haze (who’s really kawaii in a dress and with a bow on her head lol).

Pheles, a tomogara, comes “fashionably late” to the school festival held at the school Yuji and Shana attend but in a fashionable style, if you consider gale force winds that tear everything apart fashionable ^^. Which is what happened as Pheles wraps a yellow tornado around herself and Yuji to get back her love, Johan, who is trapped inside the Reiji Maigo currently in Yuji. Pheles was about to make her move when Yuji released a fuzetsu that not only stopped Pheles from taking the Reiji Maigo out of him but also released the “silver” within him. This is seen by Margery who’s soul purpose in life was to get revenge on the man who produces the same “silver,” causing Margery to go berserk with rage and tries to go after Yuji. But Wilhelmina stops her with her own “bondage powers.”

But it is not enough, as Margery’s fury seems to give her more power and overpowers Wilhelmina. At the same time, Shana fights Pheles to protect Yuji, but Pheles is overpowering Shana. Margery even fires one of her “fireballs” to kill Wilhelmina but ends up missing with the after blast hitting many of Yuji’s classmates, including Oga which freaks Tanaka out as she lies on ground, with injuries that could lead to death. During the battle with Pheles, Shana notices Pheles movements slowing down, as if she was weakening. Margery gets close enough to Yuji and fires a fireball at him, only to have Pheles protect him. With Pheles and Margery’s attention towards each other, Shana and Wilhelmina combo to take down the two. After some consulting, both Pheles and Margery calm down.

Pheles then explains her reason for coming after Yuji to get her beloved “Johan” back, who she saved by storing him in the Reiji Maigo after he almost died by a assassin, Sabrac. Pheles and Wilhelmina were friends back in the old days, but Wilhelmina had presumed that Pheles had passed away a long time ago. Wilhelmina explains that Pheles is weak due to her promise to not eat human souls with Johan centuries ago.

After everything had calmed down, Yuji, Wilhelmina, and Margery get to work to repairing the school and restore everyone in the fuzetsu with Yuji’s power of existence. With that done, everything goes back to normal. Oga goes to talk to Tanaka who is in tears when he sees Oga alive and well, then gives her the biggest hug ever (T-T), overjoyed to see her and Oga gives a hug back. Shana is currently having pictures taken, for she is the “grand prix” winner, Yuji and Yoshida congratulate Shana and Shana congratulates the both of them as well for being winners as well. Meanwhile, at Konoe’s home, we see her with her butler as she utters words we cannot hear.

Impression:
Yay ^^, watching Shana fight again made the wait well worth it….NOT lol. But they did a good job with this episode, especially with the combo fighting between Shana and Wilhelmina. Now that Pheles is revealed as a person who might be on the side of good, will we get to see her fight more? I wouldn’t mind as her power over wind is pretty cool. Seeing the emotion that Tanaka had when he saw Oga alive and well almost brought me to tears T-T, but as a man I can’t have that lol. Well, I felt it coming but it just wouldn’t come out ;p. Konoe might actually Hectate, she isn’t helping her case with that last scene….but she might just be talking to her butler for all I know lol. Shana in a cute dress while in flame haze mode, very moe lol….almost too moe (nosebleed, again…). I wonder if they’ll make a figure of her like that, I would certainly buy it.
