Ahhhh Christmas, the time to give your fellow man/woman joy through presents lol. But what would a teenager want to receive for a Christmas present? How about a phone book? The Wii was a very popular gift this season, I even got one myself to give to my dad for his birthday that’s near Christmas, and is quite the gift to give to anyone this season. Some of the Wii’s auctioned even went past 400 USD just for the system itself. Want to know more about these funny and somewhat crazy seasonal gifts, read on to find out.
Nothing like opening presents on Christmas morning and finding what you want under the tree, or in this case what was supposed to be. That’s what 13-year old Brandon thought as he opened the wrapping to reveal a PS3 (Lucky). Only to open the box and find everything the PS3 comes with except for the PS3 itself. The teenager was actually quite amused by this little shocker, quote “Dang those elves jacked my playstation” (that’s a good line for the situation lol). But his parents aren’t as “jolly” as Brandon, for they paid 500 plus tax (quite a high tax percentage at 7.25% O_o) for the PS3 and got a phone book instead. The parents are going back to the EB Games where they purchased the 500 dollar phone book and hope that they believe their story that there wasn’t a PS3 inside to get the PS3 they wanted to give to their son. Another game station story of the season is the Wii’s incredible sales. According to Amazon, they sold 17 Wii’s per second when the system was available. Via CNN Money.

Reminds me of the story of a guy who bought a “PS2″ on eBay, only to discover it was just a box. Only THAT would more disgraceful seeing as it read “PS2 BOX” clearly on the eBay site.
