Drinking tea during class? How daring and awesome of you lol.
I would say that my favorite character for the 2007 Fall anime lineup would have to be Kirino from Bamboo Blade. Her energetic ways and positive attitude towards life is what drew me into her, plus her cat face smiled is very cute :3. Being proud of her position as captain, Kirino goes out into the world with as much leadership as possible including the episode, episode 11, where I got the following pictures from, as she took it upon herself to look for the 5th girl for their team, Azuma. Of course having her paired up with the busty Sayako is a nice added bonus ;p.
Kirino is a thinker (as seen above) but too bad her short term memory is so bad lol. But she has thought her way into one of my all time favorite anime characters ^^.
I don’t know how that scene can’t make someone laugh. Kirino talking out loud during class, resulting in her sensei throwing a chalk at her as punishment but it somehow ended up in Kirino’s mouth and down to her stomach lol. Resulting in tons of laughs from me but a chalky cough from Kirino. Good thing chalk is made out of eggshell’s, it’s not only good for your growing high schooler but the environment as well :3.
Who else but Kirino would show off her happy go lucky attitude by using a sunflower umbrella and in Japan no less. I rarely see pattern umbrellas, like Kirino’s, where I live and I certainly didn’t see any during my trip to Japan. Kirino is definitely different, I’m not sure anyone enjoys the smell of sweaty kendo equipment lol; even the other characters don’t take joy in the smell. But the smell is one way kendo is so great according to Kirino, I will have to take her word for it lol. Kirino and her sidekick Sayako make a good pair with Kirino’s “go forward” attitude and Sayako’s craziness to follow is what make this pair so awesome. Check out Kirino’s cat like smile :3 and Sayako’s bulging eyes on the bottom left hand corner in the picture above. Those eyes are awesome, not those “eyes” but the ones on her head lol, but both sets are awesome ;p.
Of course the ever silent yet deadly (make your joke in the comments section ^^) Tama-chan is always there to bring me to the moe side. She looked very cute when she was younger, especially with the ribbons in the hair. It’s interesting to find out more about her past as her mom actually had more influence over her than her dad. Look at how she holds the closed umbrella, so kawaii. On the lower left hand corner you will see the “eyes” I was talking about lol, it all makes sense now as you can’t see it based on the other pictures. The WTF moment of this episode wasn’t when “Azuma” or what Kirino and Sayako thought to be Azuma appeared from behind the book shelves of the library, but actually when “Azuma” spoke. For the voice that came out of the “manly Azuma” was that of a high pitched 14 year old girl lol. You just have to watch the episode to see what I’m talking about, it may floor you lol.
Bamboo blade continues to get laughs from me and something that I really enjoy watching, I highly recommend watching this if you haven’t started already.
