Finally lol. The melon-pan in Japan was one of the most oishii (delicious) foods that I had eaten. The world’s largest melon pan was made in a bakery in Hokkaido and was made to 11 times the normal size of a regular melon pan (which is pretty big to begin with). The melon pan weights 1 kilogram and is 30 cm wide; the delicious pan can be purchased for 1,500 yen. If you wish, the bakery can make it into a birthday pan (bread) by writing a birthday message on the melon pan with chocolate.

By the way, Shakugan no Shana II doesn’t bother me at all (finally they are solving those love triangles), even if of course I secretly wish to see as much action as there was in the first season. *Crosses fingers*

I concur. Melon pans are indeed great. i cant remember a day when i was in japan that i did not eat at least one. BTW, AS great choice of picture.
I want to try melon bread. I still can’t find bread shop that sells melon pan in here (Melbourne)

@ron~: Although there is melon pan available at bakeries where I live, they are nothing compared to the melon pan I tasted in Japan, the melon pan here tastes like cinnamon lol. When you go to Japan, head to the nearest bakery and buy one and enjoy it commands Shana.
Only eleven times larger than normal. Big for sure, but I was hoping for a melon pan about as large as a car.

Hehehe… I don’t know what’s the big deal about meropan…? Yeah, it’s yummy, but it’s not like it’s a godly food…
I ate it so much in my childhood, and I still eat one every day for lunch because my mom keeps on buying meropan (…and anpan and shuucream) =0=;;;
Just go to any Korean or Japanese supermarket with a bakery and look for Melon Pan or Gonbo Pan, or make it ^o^!
