The fall season of anime has started with the release of the Kodomo No Jikan OVA, or in my opinion “Loli to the extreme.” Basically a story about three girls and the crush they have on someone with Lolicon thrown in to make it interesting. When I was watching this I thought “It’s going to be another Moetan kind of thing with the ecchi and the Loli mixed together,” but I was wrong for Kodomo takes on a whole new level of that, a more sexual level that is. Well if you like Loli or maybe comedy then is is for you.

Kokonoe, Kuro, and Mimi are on the roof of a department store enjoying each others company as they eat ice cream when Mimi notices that her ice cream is licking and starts to lick it up in a very ecchi manner.

Which the other girls notice but not innocent Mimi. The girls are helping Kokonoe look for a present for their teacher, Aoki sensei, who she has a crush on and decided to go out together and find one. But before that they go down to a bookstore and find an interesting book on charms that they buy and later go to the arcade where Kokonoe and Kuro enjoying riding a vibrating virtual horse.

Thinking that clothes might be a nice gift, but the girls needed to learn Aoki sensei’s measurements so they sneak into the nurses office to look at his health records only to have Aoki sensei come in after they find it and chases them out, but not before sneaky Kokonoe gets to flash her panties to her sensei. The girls head off to a lingerie store so Kokonoe could buy something sexy to wear to show her sensei but decides to forget about it and puts away what she tries on when Mimi notices bras. Mimi has developed faster than her friends and has already started developing when a couple of women notice her and start to talk bad about how she has developed so early when Kokonoe apologizes to the women for them for their noise to make an escape. Kuro calls them old afterwards to piss them off ^^. The girls decide that maybe some clothes would be nice to get Aoki sensei but one look at the price of a necktie (2,500 yen) and they decide maybe a hand made gift would be better. So Kokonoe asks if the girls want to sleep over and hang out as she makes her gift that Mimi accepts and Kuro as well, but not without Kuro having another fantasy between her and her own crush, Kokonoe.

The girls work for Aoki sensei’s presents at Kokonoe’s home with Kokonoe making a paiting of him, Kuro making a nice voodoo doll of him, and Mimi making a birthday card or letter when Kokonoe’s brother, Reiji, returns home who Mimi immediately develops a crush over. The girls talk about Reiji when he comes out with snacks and milk, but when he gives milk to Mimi she touches his hand and lets go of the cup and the milk splashes all over her.

The girls go to the bath together to clean up when Kuro stands up and says “Look I’m all grown up” with her long hair in between her legs.

Kokonoe also does this and feeling left out, Mimi stands up, only hers is the real thing (>o<).
With the girls all clean but without any pajamas, Kokonoe lends hers with Kuro enjoying wearing clothes that have been on Kokonoe’s body while Mimi is a bit shy as her development has caused the top to be too small that Reiji notices and offers his shirt which Mimi also enjoys. After dinner the girls go to bed where Kokonoe tells them that Reiji likes a woman that matches Kokonoe’s description that Mimi freak’s out over. We see Reiji finishing up work and setting his phone alarm when he decides to look at the woman he loves.

The next day, Aoki sensei is in class when he gets a mail/text message from Kokonoe who wishes him a happy birthday and offers her present to him, herself.

She also writes down on the ground that she loves her sensei on the ground and the other girls also write a message as well, Mimi’s being take care of her, Kuro’s message that Aoki is a Lolicon teacher lol. He rushes down to the girls when Kuro uses her voodoo doll and twists its head that results in Aoki sensei’s head doing that same thing and falls down.

Impression:
Loli enough for you ;p? It was an overdose of Loli for me and felt awkward watching, especially because I was watching in school during my break before my next class. Especially so when all the ecchi scenes started popping up I was like “….” and hoping that no one would look at my screen lol, I was watching it on a desk with three walls so it was moderately safe except from those passing behind me. Well I watched it and I guess its something that I have mixed feelings on continually watching. On the one hand it has its funny moments, all the ecchi scenes were funny to watch for some reason, on the other hand thats the same reason why I don’t want to watch lol. I felt really awkward watching the scene with the girls bathing and they showed Kokonoe and Kuro’s flat chest without any censorship, obviously Mimi’s was developed so they couldn’t show hers. They also showed a close up of Kokonoe’s nude body with her hair sticking between her legs so I was like “Woah, this is too ecchi.” I thought the end theme song was pretty cool though in look and sound. I don’t know, I just hope other Fall animes show up so I can put this anime out of my mind. But for those who love Loli then this is something you have to watch.

Moetan seems pretty tame when compared to Kodomo no Jikan. I like the animation of the series but a few of the scenes were a bit too much. Kind of surprised that they showed what they did. I think the best part of the show for me was the ending sequence and the ed song.
So it is a complete review of all lolicon and other sexual fantasies…
I will pass on this series. I am not even in the slightest interested in that.
Lucky Star (which has reached its final episode *sniff*) was a definite personal pick not for the relatively young characters, but for the perkiness of each character, the huge number of anime references and crazy humor that I truly grew fond of.
I have seen some ecchi series, such as Grenadier or Girls Bravo, but they had almost no loli character in them (or I paid absolutely no attention to it).
I don’t even want to watch classics like Love Hina because I feel that some characters (especially the main lead, seems too loli to me)…
So a series with lolis and sexual innuendo non-stop… No thanks.
-Special Note- On a totally different subject, I see your new banner up there. Yay to Kagami! But I will miss her… *Sniff*
There wasn’t really that much fan services, hell even the bath scenes had nippleless nudity.
wow loli alert maximum!!! must cleanse mind and think clean thoughts!!!
@D_Blade: IMO, Naru is not loli in any sense, she’s a university student!! if there was a loli in the group then it would be Shinobu or Su since they are still in middle school.
@Setsuna-san: Thanks for the info, but I guess I tend to have a strong mental association between the design of the character and her given age, personality and ways of expression (for me, nothing is more annoying than a pre-adult (in anime and reality) to act like a 7 year-old or even lower.
I am then sorry if I categorize Naru as loli, but she looks darn young for a uni student. ^^; Maybe should I watch the anime or read the manga and make a final statement.
Assumptions, when you hold our minds…~
@Otaku Surf: True, true…some of scenes were on the more extreme side and I was a bit surprised too, I was thinking they would censor it with steam from the bath or something. The ending is pretty cool.
@D_BLade: I watched Grenadier, it was alright and I don’t think it was too ecchi, the whole reloading a gun by having it come out from in between her breasts was pretty cool. I too will miss Kagami, I don’t know why but I constantly like to see new headers for my site, might choose a new theme that changes it with each page load like Danny’s or Adun’s site.
@orz: True that there wasn’t “fan service” fan service, but what I saw should appease others I think, though the thought of it creeps me out.
@Setsuna-san: Quick, go underneath a waterfall and start chanting about clear and non-dirty thoughts.
This focuses on the worst stuff. I think the show had its bad parts, but what this artical is about is the DVD uncensored version. I have watched both versions. The TV one was massively over censored, but the DVD was not censored at all. I do not think the DVD was to over whelming at all. It was really funny. You can not always focus on the worst. I think most people will like this show, I will admit at times you have to have a kind of dirty mind, but still in the end it is a really funny show. If the ecchi scenes bother you that much just watch the tv version.
