Ahhhh, What A Beautiful Sight

looking up

About two years ago, I bought this Tifa resin figure, from Final Fantasy 7, and I was a happy camper lol. This was actually the first figure I bought and yesterday was the first figure I took pictures of too. She’s a smiling beauty that watches me as I do work, for I leave her on my desk. So she has ended up with dust in a few places I can’t seem to get out lol.

Tifa is nicely detailed and although she leans forward she doesn’t lean anymore forward due to the materials used included resin which is more stable than pvc when it comes to hot weather.
whats uphey look over there
I like how they sculpted Tifa’s bust which is appropriate in size compared to some “other” pictures of Tifa I’ve seen ;p. Other details include Tifa’s gloves, the straps on her shoulders, and other details which really made this a nice buy; check out the belly button lol. The paint is a bit messy in places but overall is nicely done.

Even Tifa’s boots are detailed down to the grooves in her sock, even the base is nicely detailed with cracks. What I didn’t like though is how Tifa can easily become loose from the base by a mere flick. She doesn’t hold down to the base like figures now and its annoying if I tried to get something around her and accidentally knocked her off her base.

Tifa: How you doing big boy ;p

In Tifa’s mind: Man, my butt itches like crazy >_<, must be that new materia.

Lovely pics. Nice scenery too ^^

Hmmm, dunno… This figure doesn’t really inspire me. Of course it is really close to the original FF VII’s Tifa, but her mouth and eyebrows don’t attract me at all. Sorry. Otherwise special mention to the boots (no typo there, my perv’ friends!) which look truly realistic.

“…dust in a few places I can’t seem to get out” (no comment, but a grin for you).

I wonder what her original pose is. I smirked at the first and last pictures, due to low and awkward angles (but also the last comment). I swear, you! *laughs*

And I prefer Aeris much more. Yeah, you can kill me now for all those evil comments, but I would be back, again and again. Definitely. ^_^

I have yet to get myself a resin figure, but even at this point I’m not really interested in getting one either. Though I must say, her face looks a little weird, and seems that her chin is a bit too pointy.

@Danny Choo: Arigatoo, I’m hoping to do more in the future with other scenery that I know will add to the figure.
@D_Blade: I’m not really sure how the “true” Tifa should look like, other than looking at the original pictures offered by SquareSoft, years ago, due to her pixel self not being of much help for imagery. Dust is a problem for me and just seems to settler where I can’t get it out easily lol. When you say “original pose,” do you mean a full picture of her? If you did, sorry I should have done that and now realize it, but rest assured my next figure post will have a full look. Aeris was awesome in the game, too bad you didn’t get to use her to long. I can’t kill you lol, just delete/block your comments, but I would never do that for I like to read others opinion as long as its not something that I consider flaming, racist, discriminatory, etc.
@Adun: Actually she is my only resin figure and I never realized it until I looked at the box she came in before I did this review lol. I like her face for it has that “game” look to it but I agree her chin could be a bit less pointy.

No, no, I meant that I wondered what the neutral position was, as I was confused with the first two pictures (she appears to be standing rather straight on them and is bending 90° wise on the others)…
I even thought at one time that she was a bit articulated.

Aeris or rather Aerith has the ultimate ability to give invincibility to the party and help them recover tons of HP. I still find it shameful that the scenario was scripted that way… They should have left her without any powers or something like that, but no…
    Anyway.

And once again you are mistaken (Sorry!). I said that in a context of games, anime and music where you seem to destroy the villain (because he’s a villain and they should all be punished; weird logic) and he comes back like nothing happened (Dr. Wily, Sigma and Dracula anyone?). This was really for comic relief purposes, as I thought my critics on your beloved figure would irritate you.

I’d be happy to see your other figures. And I forgot to add that it is always nice to see figures taken outdoors for pictures.

the sun is a lil bit too strong, but still ok, nice pictures ^^

you should shower her first to remove the dust hehe :p

@D_Blade: sodeska ( I understand now), sorry I’ve been learning stuff in Japanese class lol. Well I guess you could say she’s bending about 70 degrees forward. I have been told I have have no sense of comedy, so it was a mistake on my behalf for not understanding your joke lol.
@ron~: If only I could control the brightness of the sun, then I would rule all lol. I don’t know about showering Tifa but I’m thinking of a nice cleaning with a ear swab to get rid of most of the dust.

This is a figure I always wanted to grab since I started collecting. Should (re)start looking for it.
To me, Tifa is for games what Asuka is for animes : my first love ^^; (don’t like Aeris, except for her ubber final limit)

Very nice pictures with a lovely blue sky :D

Great photos are you selling the figure??

@Shower Enclosure: Sorry, I’m not selling Tifa but you might find others selling her on tsuki-board.
