What’s your favorite anime character trait? (Girl Version)

FANGS

I love fangs, it’s the ultimate anime trait for me, if it’s on a girl anyways ;p. Fangs, for me, is a real attraction when I see it anime, maybe because it reminds me of my old fang (also know as the first bicuspid in dental terms) that has since dulled out to a squarish shape. I don’t know why but it’s just one of the most kawaii anime trait that I’ve seen and probably why I rather choose Tsuruya over Haruhi and Misao over Konata, they have it and I love it.

Tsundere /Bi-Polar (Opposite personality) Thanks to lu-k for reminding me about the Japanese term vlcsnap-54517vlcsnap-54302
What I also love is that nice spunkiness/bipolar trait you get from characters like Kagami and Haruhi. It’s something that I see as an attraction and I know there are others like me ^^. She’s all nice one second then a explosive volcano the next lol, its something I like but would not like to see often as I can never tell what her true mood is at any moment. So spunkiness ranks high in my love of anime and its going to stay there for a while.

Of course, this one has to be here and probably most of the men gender have this on the top of their list as well.

BOOBS, of course lol. This is a big attraction but let me say that this is not the determining factor of girls who I think are cute in anime and real life…it’s a bonus. Honestly I rather have a flat chested girl who I always have fun with whenever I’m with her or just hang out with and not talk but enjoying being together than a F-cup girl who’s really boring.

Tell me about your favorite anime character trait, whether it be a girl or a guy. I will do a guy version later.

I’m with you on fangs, this is definitely a true kawaii trait, and I guess it’s because of that Tsuruya-san is so popular :D
What I like too is pigtails, green hair, and for non-physical trait, tsundere (to me it’s a bit like what you’ve called “Bi-Polar”).
Another type of character I like is girls who almost never talk, like Yuki, Primula…

Eh, to me BIG breasts are a turnoff for me, in real life and anime. Not to say I generally like FLAT girls, decent sized ones are good. But if I were to be with a flat-chested girl, then I generally wouldn’t care. :P

  3. 3 Shirukii

Twintailed tsundere, Tohsaka Rin and Kagamin being good examples. Fangs are pretty win as well though, Tsuruya and OIHIIRAGI-tan being great examples (LOLFANG-sensei is pretty awesome as well)

As for chests, DFC > Healthy.

Yay Fang power! So does that extend to male characters like Hibiki Ryoga as well?

And what about double fang characters like Karin? Is that more less moe than just the single fang?

@lu-k: Thanks for reminding me about the Japanese word, totally forgot about it -_-;. Personally I never really cared about hair whether it be its legnth, though I prefer long hair, and color. I too like characters like Primula and Yuki, for you can never tell what they are thinking and its quite intriguing to think about it.

@xXMikotoNakadaiXx: Decent sized boobs are always nice, in real life and anime lol. But I like a nice size like Katsura’s and get a bit lost in it lol. Being with a flat chested girl…ummm ya I wouldn’t mind, too much anyways ;p.

@Shirukii: FANG SENSEI, Hai Hai ^-^. Fang sensei is pretty good looking to and she’s an otaku too lol, its a wonder why she doesn’t have someone.

@Orion: FANG POWER. Ryoga is pretty cool, just wish he wouldn’t get lost so often lol, makes people like Ranma wait for their duel to commence. Hmmm…more or less with one fang over two…its always moe with fangs ^-^, btw we are talking about Karin from Chibi Vampire right?

AS, it is a bit too bad you did not put more traits or physical on one side and emotional on the other. That is a nice post though and I will give my preferences now.

Personally, I am more into anime girls that have a soft side but are brave and can stand for themselves at the same time.
Female characters that are too soft (Mikuru Asahina, Hiiragi Tsukasa, Takara Miyuki and such… You said “Moe”? *laughs*) tend to be pleasant but bore me a bit in the long run.

For me, the tsundere trait is nice in anime but not in real life (I am quite afraid of constantly explosive girls and it would clash a bit with my own personality). I tend to make a difference between Tohsaka Rin, Hiiragi Kagami on one side and Suzumiya Haruhi on the other, because the latter goes with her whims and lacks logic in her behavior, which is a bit turn-off to me (I would have given up early if I was constantly insulted, unlike Kyon).

The traits I like the most in a person are honesty, truth, confidence, braveness and so on. I don’t mind materialistic females or definite liars, egoists or hypocrites in anime, but I simply can’t stand them in real life.

For physical traits, I am into girls with long hair, bright eyes, fine nose… but the adult ones only. I am not a lolicon at all. By the way anime characters with big eyes (The upper ones, as I feel that some have a logic that resembles one we know… Mirai-Chan is a hint) are bound to freak me out.

I have a fetish for big breasts, but not too big (C cup is ideal to me), but again, I prefer them to be real on adult girls. Anime generally deals with adolescents, so it is rather disturbing when you think of it… And of course, if there is only about the body and not the brain/mind, it’s quite a hopeless cause.

    -End of personal disclosure-

Forgot to mention that prominent fangs are funny on anime characters because it makes them wolf-like (especially Ryoga). I don’t think it would appeal me if it is on real life people though.

The final comment goes for clumsy, ditzy and chronic forgetful characters. While it can be charming on anime characters, I would go for a “Yare yare” Kyon-style otherwise.

To sum it up, I tend to make a huge difference between anime characters and real life persons in terms of tolerance, attractiveness, etc, and for me, stereotypes are welcome in anime but not in reality.

    Sorry for the double post, but ideas popped into my mind all of a sudden. I will stop there. ^_^;

@D_Blade: Wow, you have made the longest post I have ever seen in my blog and I welcome it ^-^, please bring more of your thoughts, double post, one post, as much as you need to get your thoughts down. I know what you mean about differentiating between real life and anime girls, something that must be done. I actually have a bigger list of anime traits that I like, physical and emotional, but I put my favorite physical and emotional trait at the top…the boob thing was a bonus because I’m a guy and thought it might spark something with comments, which it did ^^. Real life tsundere…scary. My brother still has fangs and sadly mine have dulled to a square shape.

  9. 9 xXMikotoNakadaiXx

    Tsukasa? BORING? USO DA!

    Anime girls… lolicon… I only like lolicon if I’m a shotacon. :P

  10. 10 Adun

Fangs is indeed a moé point on anime girls. Though for me, it’s still girls with long purple hair that does it for me.

  11. 11 Jamaipanese

I like strong willed female characters who are great fighters but still beautiful…..Teresa from Claymore and Balsa from Guardian of the Sacred Spirit are good examples.

I hate stupid, weird sounding, big breasted, overly cute, dumb, worthless female characters

  12. 12 D_Blade

@xXMikotoNakadaiXx: Okay. Tsukasa is not that boring but she is… let’s say… predictable. At least she is the cute one.

  13. 13 AS

@xXMikotoNakadaiXx: Lolicon if shortacon…got it. I think Tsukasa is a bit boring but what I love about her is her “intellect” that is very cute as she always asks her ane-san for help.
@Adun: So Kagami is pretty much your alley with long purple hair huh.
@Jamaipanese: Ooo…I like Teresa too, so strong and nice, well in the end. Hmmm…so it sounds like you hate the very sterotypical girl of anime with all the characteristics you listed…you are so right.
@D_Blade: Cute, hmmm…ya she is cute ^-^, especially her actions like when she was text spamming Kagami with what seems like every possible opportunity she had.

  14. 14 D_Blade

@AS: I loved that scene but still I prefer the Kagami-Sama and the Timotei ones. they were so sudden, I could not stop rewinding and playing both parts.
I guess I will watch them again each time I am a bit depressed.
I just love ow Kagami makes that dumbfounded or bewildered face and Konata with a devilish grin. It is so funky each time and I never grow tired of it.

  15. 15 AS

@D_Blade: lol kagami-sama…that was hilarious and Kagami had to have Konata cut it out due to embarrassment.

  16. 16 Setsuna-san

The physical traits i prefer in anime characters(girls) are short hair,a beautiful face and a decent height and boobs but the boobs are not a must.

as for personality, i prefer girls whos can stand up for themselves and not depend on others all the time. A good example IMO would be Kallen(Code Geass) and Saber(Fate). The silent but strong types like Yuki are also a favourite of mine.

  17. 17 AS

@Setsuna-san: Boobs not a must, but nice to have ^^. Clare from Claymore is another good example of the type of personality you would like, though in that show the main point is strong females…don’t need to eat for a week, stronger than average, fierce, dependable, etc lol. Hmmm, everyone seems like Yuki, I do as well ^^.

  18. 18 D_Blade

Another comment from me, yes. This post inspires me, I think. Wa-Wa-Wa-Wasuremono~, as one would say.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu: I am also a complete fan of Nagato Yuki. Despite her being of few words (except when she explains some scientific jargon in lengthy details), she is really charismatic and has a whole arsenal of awesome superpowers that put those of Koizumi Itsuki to shame (by the way, he looks really limited to me, his display of ESP has not convinced me at all… and his constant smile is freaky). I’m not a meganekko fan though.

To sum it up, Yuki is my favorite character in the series, followed by Tsuruya-San and probably Kimidori-San. Since Asakura Ryoko plays a bad role (too bad, she was kind of cute when she was not exposing her evil schemes) and never came back, she loses points… (Wait, I’m beginning to think like Taniguchi?!).

I agree with other readers… Clare and Teresa, Saber and Kallen are some of my favorite characters around too. Great female characters for great anime series.

And… Question time for AS!! *Drum rolls*

You said you love fangs on anime girls. Do vampiric girls like Seras Victoria from Hellsing count (what a bad, unintended pun there!)?

  20. 20 AS

@D_Blade: Yes it is another comment from you and is actually the 100th comment for this blog. Congratulations ^-^. Deep down, I like to think that my post inspires people lol. In regards to your question…I like vampire girls like Karin from Chibi Vampire lol, she is kind of cute with her “blood giving” rather than “blood sucking”. I don’t know about Seras as I have never heard of her until you mentioned it and went to look it up, she looks like a girl that could kick my a$$ lol, but she looks slightly cute.

anime girls with sharp fangs are gothic but some are cute tooooo look at! they are so kawaii!! ^.^ :p
